Rules :
All candidates appearing for the Typing Skill Test must complete the test within a maximum allotted time of 10 minutes and meet the prescribed criteria. The minimum qualifying speed is 35 words per minute (WPM), calculated on correct words typed, and failure to achieve this will result in disqualification. The maximum permissible error limit is 3% of the total typed content, including spelling, omission, addition, substitution, and punctuation errors; exceeding this limit will lead to disqualification irrespective of speed. Use of the Backspace key is fully allowed, but excessive corrections may affect performance. The test is qualifying in nature, and candidates must satisfy both speed and accuracy requirements. The passage must be typed exactly as displayed, and any deviation will be treated as an error. Evaluation will be based on Net Speed (WPM) = (Total Words Typed – Errors) ÷ Time in minutes, with a minimum of 97% accuracy required. Candidates are advised to maintain a balance between speed and accuracy, as exceeding the error limit will result in disqualification.
